KOI Card membership benefits in Singapore

What are KOI Card membership benefits in Singapore?

If you're like me, you're wondering whether it's worth getting the KOI Card. Well, here's my quick rundown of the key benefits and cons of the offer.

Before I go into those details, they have two classifications for the card.

  1. Registered membership card - meaning you have registered the card online
  2. Non-member card - meaning you have not registered the card online
You'll actually need to register your card online after buying a card from a KOI Cafe shop to really be able to receive more benefits from their offer.

For new all card holders (registered or not), an activation fee of S$1 will be charged for first top-up. 

Registered membership card

For registered card members, you will enjoy:

  • Buy one get one FREE during promotional events. (Applicable for medium-sized redemption without additional toppings for a limited period).

    • Bring along a friend and enjoy 2 free medium-sized beverages on your birthday month. (You and your friend must be present).
    • S$5 will be credited to your card for every S$80 accumulated top-up.
    • Exclusive members' events and rewards are offered from time to time.
    • In order to enjoy your KOI Card Rewards, the payment must be made with KOI Card, and the rewards are not valid with other promotions.
    • Usage of KOI Card is not available when our POS machine experiences technical issue.

    You may protect the balance in your card and enjoy more rewards by registering as a member at The following promotions are only applicable for registered members upon registration of the KOI Card:

    Non-member card 

    For Non-members, you will receive $4 credited to the card for every $80 accumulated top-up.

    Where to purchase a KOI Card? 

    You can purchase KOI Card at any participating KOI outlets*. There will be an additional S$1 activation fee applicable for first top up. Example, you wish to top up S$10 on your new KOI Card. On top of the S$10 cash, you need to pay an additional S$1 activation fee at the point of purchase.

    How to top up my KOI Card? 

    Top up can be done at any participating KOI outlets*. The minimum top up is S$10 and maximum is S$300. You can choose to top up S$10, S$20 or S$50, cash only.

    Purchase and load your KOI Card

    That is, you can purchase and top up the KOI Card at any participating KOI outlets, except our Changi Airport outlet. There will be S$1 activation fee for the first top up. You may store maximum value of S$300 in each KOI Card at any time, and you may top up a minimum S$10 each time, or you may choose to top up S$20 or S$50, cash only.

    Your KOI Card will expire two years after the last date of transaction. Once you block your card, you have to replace it with a new KOI Card within three months, else the card/value will expire.

    Can I purchase a zero value KOI Card for collection purpose? 

    Yes, you can purchase a zero value KOI Card at S$2 at all participating outlets*. Card with zero value is not eligible for online registration, in which rewards are granted. You may either top-up the zero value KOI Card or transfer the value from other KOI Card to enjoy the card rewards. Please be reminded, each member can only register one card.

    How to use my KOI Card? 

    You can purchase any item by using your KOI Card at all participating KOI outlets*.The value in the card cannot be exchanged for cash. You cannot split the payment in multiple ways (partially by cash, partially by KOI Card) or in multiple KOI Cards.

    How to register my KOI Card? 

    Just visit and click "KOI Card" tab in the tool bar above to get to our KOI Card webpage. Please have your KOI Card with you and follow the steps to get your card registered.

    Why should I register my KOI Card? 

    You can enjoy more exclusive rewards upon registration. If your card is lost or damaged, please visit our website to deactivate the card in order to protect the card balance, or to transfer the balance to your new KOI Card.

    How to update my personal information on my KOI Card? 

    You can review and change your personal information at and click "KOI Card", sign in to update.

    How to check the balance of my KOI Card? 

    You can check your KOI Card balance at all participating KOI outlets*; or on your post-purchase receipts; or sign in to your member account at to view the last 20 transaction records.

    What should I do if I lost my KOI Card? 

    If you are a registered card member, you can block the lost card immediately in your member's page at In the event that your card is found, please inform us via e-mail within 3 months from the blocked date to reactivate the card. Alternatively, you may transfer your lost card balance to your new KOI Card within three months from the blocked date. Your balance will be forfeited if no further action is taken from you once you have blocked the card.

    Will my KOI Card expire? 

    Your KOI Card will expire 2 years from your last transaction. If you keep using the KOI Card, the expiry date will auto refresh. Once the card is blocked, you have to replace with a new KOI Card within three months, or the card and value will both expire.

    Can I transfer my KOI Card balance to my family or friends? 

    Your card balance can only be transferred to another KOI Card which is not registered. You must block your old card before you can transfer your credit.

    Can I refund the value in KOI Card? 

    Refund can only be made to registered member, and you need to personally be at our Singapore Headquarter for the refund. The actual refund amount will take into consideration based on the S$80 accumulated expenditure for the cash bonus.
