NETS FlashPay Auto Top-Up Fee Waiver Removal

Here's an update on this part of the service if you're looking to understand this further. The promotion that they had running through the first half of 2016 has ended.

Dear Sir / Madam,
 
Thank you for using the Auto Top-Up (ATU) service for your NETS FlashPay card. This service allows your FlashPay card to be automatically topped-up each time there is insufficient value in your card to make payment at transit/ERP/car park and at supported retailers.

You are currently enjoying ATU fee waiver top-up by credit/debit card and/or GIRO. We would like to inform you that this fee waiver will end on 31 March 2016. With effect from 1 April 2016, a top-up fee of $0.25 (GST inclusive) will apply for each ATU transaction by credit/debit card and $0.15 (GST inclusive) for each ATU transaction through GIRO. NETS is introducing the top-up fees to cover the credit card/GIRO transaction costs imposed by banks and payment schemes.
 
With this change, the new ATU fees* will apply when your FlashPay card is automatically topped-up with a pre-set amount (of $30, $40 or $50) when there is insufficient value in the card to make payments at NETS supported merchants and transit points as well as for ERP and car parks charges.  
 
(*For ATU with credit/debit cards, a fee of $0.25 will be charged to the registered credit/debit card regardless of the top-up amount. For ATU through GIRO, a fee of $0.15 will be charged to the registered GIRO account regardless of the top-up amount.)
 
Consumers who do not wish to use the ATU service can approach our NETS Customer Service Centre (located at 298 Tiong Bahru Road, #04-01 Central Plaza, Singapore 168730) or proceed to any NETS self-service top-up machine with the label “Auto Top-Up De-registration Here” located in the following malls to de-register the service from 1 April 2016 onwards:
 
Northpoint, Causeway Point, Seletar Mall, Junction 8, Ang Mo Kio Hub, Vivo City, Bugis Junction, Plaza Singapura, City Square Mall, Ion, Tampines Mall, Parkway Parade, Bedok Mall, White Sands, Century Square, JEM, Westgate, Jurong Point, West Mall and Lot 1
