How the preauthorisation process works for Bupa Global

I reached out to the Bupa team to understand how to reach out to them to seek preauthorisation for medical care.

Here is the details that I was shared below, sharing it here in case you need this information urgently.

If you need details of medical clinics and institutions within the Bupa network in Singapore, please kindly find a listing of Bupa-approved medical institutions in Singapore here.

Please be advised that for preauthorisation questions. 
Please send below information to preauth(at)bupa-intl.com who will confirm whether the treatment is covered as per your policy. If your treatment is within the next two days please call +44 1273 333 911 for an immediate response
In order to pre-authorise the treatment please provide us with the following details:
  • The symptoms, condition or Diagnosis
  • The onset date of the symptoms
  • The required treatment /procedure
  • Date of required treatment
  • Location (Hospital/ Clinic) where it will take place
  • Admission length of stay in the hospital (if applicable)
  • The Doctor /Specialist name (If available)
You can visit MembersWorld to view details of your plan at anytime. To register for MembersWorld simply Log onto https://www.bupainternational.com/membersworld and click the 'register now' link.
If the treatment has already taken place, please send a completed claim form (see attached) along with any invoices /receipts received for the treatment and we will assess the claim for you.
Please note we will require the following information to process your claim:
  • Current and complete details of who to pay
  • An itemised invoice detailing specific treatments, dates and associated costs
  • The symptoms / diagnosis or the reason for seeking treatment

There are a number of ways you can submit a claim:
  • MembersWorld website.
  • Email at info(at)bupa-intl.com
  • Fax claims to us on 0044 (0)1273 820517.

Please note claims may take up to 10-14 working days to be processed.
