How to submit a claim with Aetna International for Singaporeans

This is written to help Singaporean based employees know how to submit a claim with Aetna International.


Essentially submitting a claim is similar to other providers, the main things to note are:

  • Referral letters required for non-physicians (non-doctors). For example, physiotherapy, chiropractic treatment.
  • Reports required/ Summary of treatments required for Chinese Medicine, Podiatry, Osteopathy or Chiropractic treatment

Here are some examples, you will be asked:

1. Is this claim for Traditional Chinese Medicine, Podiatry, Osteopathy or Chiropractic treatment 
  • Complete the below if you have had more than 4 sessions of Chinese Medicine, Podiatry, Osteopathy or Chiropractic treatment. 
  • Why did you need more treatment and what is your current progress?

2. Is this claim for Outpatient Physiotherapy treatment?*
  • Complete the below if you have had more than 6 sessions of Physiotherapy
  • Why did you need more treatment and what is your current progress?

How to submit a claim with Aetna International for Singaporeans

Step 1 - Log into Aetna International

Aetna International covers all medical plans for Aetna outside of the US. 

Step 2 - Select "Make a Claim" and fill in details

Select "Make a Claim" and fill in required details.

Step 3 - Upload documents and sign off declaration online

Upload documents and sign off declaration online and you should be good to go. It will remember your personal details and bank details if you select it to, to make claims easier and faster for the future. 

Then you just wait for the claim to be processed.
