Amazon Prime is a membership program that offers members exclusive shipping, shopping, and entertainment benefits. It essentially competes with Live SG Membership.
What is Amazon Prime Membership in Singapore?
For Singapore, it is focused around online shopping, currently 2 hour shipping benefits via the Amazon Singapore Prime Now mobile app.
- Entertainment via Amazon Prime Video and Twitch - The entertainment benefits relates to access to unlimited, instant streaming of popular movies and TV shows, including award-winning, original Amazon titles, and free game content with Twitch, along with monthly Twitch channel subscription credits.
- Local shipping of Amazon stores - Prime Now Singapore offers free 2-hour delivery for orders over S$40 with items available locally.
- International shipping of Amazon stores - Prime Now Singapore free delivery for orders over S$60 with items from the international selection of millions of additional items from the US.
What is Amazon Prime Singapore Membership pricing?
The full price of Singapore Prime membership is S$2.99 per month which is a promotional price (with no current end date), but expected to increase to S$8.99 per month at a later stage which they will advise on.
You can try Prime with a 30-day free trial and you can cancel at any time.
Does Amazon Prime Singapore have a trial?
Yes, you can sign up for the Amazon Prime Free Trial via their website, www.amazon.com.sg.
New members are eligible to try all Prime member benefits free for 30 days.
You will need a valid Visa, Master Card, or American Express credit or debit card to sign up. While you won’t be charged for your free trial, you will be automatically upgraded to a paid monthly membership plan at the end of the free trial period.

Here is an example of my personal experience signing up and purchasing an item from Amazon Prime Singapore (and if you're wondering, yes, I love Ben and Jerry's ice cream!).
The popup you see here is a reminder that there is a minimum purchase amount to qualify for free delivery.
Qualify for FREE 2-hour delivery with any order of S$40.00 or more. Orders below S$40.00 have a S$5.99 delivery fee.Then there is a selection of timing for delivery.
So I am presented with the following delivery timings:
7-8pm for S$9.99 SGD
8-10pm for free
10am-12pm for free tomorrow (Tuesday).
It is roughly 5:15pm at my time of ordering, so rounding that up puts me at the 6pm onwards timeframe. So they charge for 5:15pm-8pm delivery time.
I will only receive free delivery for 2 hours and 45 minutes after my confirmed finalised booking on the Amazon Prime Now Singapore app.
At the moment there is a DBS credit/ debit card promotion (promo code from DBS was "DBS20" - expires 30 June 2019), so I used this for my purchase on Amazon Prime Now Singapore and received S$20 off with a minimum S$60 spend. There is an ongoing S$10 off with a minimum S$60 spend offered by Amazon Prime Now Singapore as well if that promotion happens to have ended at your time of reading this.
That's pretty much it, just waiting for my Amazon Prime Singapore delivery now while watching my new access to Amazon Prime Singapore TV.

Termination by Us
We may terminate your Prime membership at our discretion without notice. If we do so, we will give you a prorated refund based on the number of full months remaining in your membership. However, we will not give any refund for termination related to conduct that we determine, in our discretion, violates these Terms or any applicable law, involves fraud or misuse of the Prime membership, or is harmful to our interests or another user. Our failure to insist upon or enforce your strict compliance with these Terms will not constitute a waiver of any of our rights.
Limitation of Liability
IN ADDITION TO OTHER LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS IN AMAZON'S CONDITIONS OF USE, IN NO EVENT WILL WE OR OUR DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS OR OTHER REPRESENTATIVES BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY OTHER DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO PRIME.
