Transfer of Dash Ownership to Singtel

For those using Dash, the mobile payment service joint-operated by Standard Chartered and Singtel. The time has come now for Singtel to take full ownership of the program.

It must be because Standard Chartered is looking to consolidate it's consumer business efforts.

Here's a details from the letter that was sent to me for those interested in what's happening with this Dash mobile payment ownership transfer. I am typing some of it up for your easy reading.

Dear Tran Vu Long

Transfer Dash Ownership to Singtel

We are writing to inform you that the ownership of Dash will be transferred to Singtel.

With this transfer, the current Dash Singapore app will be discounted from 30 September 2017 and replaced by the Singtel Dash app. Your Username and PIN remain unchanged.

Please down the Singtel Dash app to enjoy the following features:

  • Make payments to leading retailers and taxis
  • Send money to friends locally
  • Remit to Philippines, Indonesia, China or India (New)
  • Top up from any local bank account through eNETS (New)
  • Pay for train and bus rides when paired with Singtel NFC SIM (New)
The Singtel Dash app however does not offer cash out of funds through the Singtel Dash Singapore app from September 2017. If you wish to cash out your Dash Balance through the Dash Singapore app, please do so before 30 September 2017.

Any existing Dash Easy savings account, Dash Advance personal loan or Dash Abroad travel insurance that you may currently hold will not be affect due to this transfer.

Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited will continue to support your banking needs and Singtel will support your payments services on Dash.

I hope that helps.
