Is SPG Brands Mattress and Box Spring 40% Discount via the 50 Night Benefit - Starwood Preferred Guest worth it
Well, not quite as worth it as expected. As I was starting to accumulate nights in order to redeem a promo code to get a Sheraton Mattress and base, however, had a feeling that I really should check what the full process and costs would be like. So after simulating scenarios on their website, I realised that you need to manually reach out to the Sheraton team to use a promo code and also to get a quote for the shipping, taxes and customs costs (as the website doesn't process this information for you).
So after seeing the full costs, I am having second thoughts... In fact, I am most likely not staying at a Starwood hotel to work towards this anymore... I'll be taking my Gold status to Marriott to enjoy my benefits there or perhaps explore the Hilton chain.
Update: 11/Jul/ 2017 - I decided to do a status match with the Hilton and start staying there

Pros:
- It's a King Koil Branded bed. King Koil has been in the business for years and makes quality beds
- 40% discount on a good bed, is always a good deal, however, there are other fees to take note of, see below in "cons".
Cons:
- No warranty, the "10 year manufacturer warranty" is voided, as soon as it is shipped out of China to another country, in my case Singapore.
- Delivery fee is 1500 USD per bed, although you could work out a freight forwarder to get a better deal?
- GST fees is estimated at USD 521.38 for two beds so half that is USD 260.69 each bed and that's only an estimate
